About Dental Software Guide
We're a small team of dental industry researchers and former dental office staff who got tired of reading vendor-sponsored reviews and analyst reports that bore no resemblance to what actually happens in a 2-chair practice.
Why We Built This
The dental software market has a research problem. Most review sites are either vendor-funded or written by people who've never worked a front desk. When a practice owner searches "best dental practice management software," they deserve honest, specific answers — not a listicle that recommends seven platforms with equal enthusiasm.
Our team includes former dental office managers, billing coordinators, and a dentist who ran a solo practice for 9 years before selling. We know what it feels like when your scheduling software crashes at 8:45 AM on a Monday. We know what an insurance claim aging report looks like when your AR is getting away from you. We write from that experience.
How We Review
Every platform we review, we demo. We ask the same 14 questions to every vendor. We talk to real users — not the references the vendor provides, but practices we find through our network and reader submissions. We update our reviews at least every 6 months to reflect pricing changes, new features, and shifts in user sentiment.
Our Editorial Independence
DentalSoftwareGuide.com participates in affiliate programs with Curve Dental and tab32. This means we may earn a referral commission when practices click our links and request a demo or purchase. Our affiliate relationships do not influence our review scores, rankings, or editorial conclusions. We rate and rank software based on merit.
If a platform we have an affiliate relationship with scores lower than a platform we don't, we publish that score. Our reputation with our readers is worth more than an affiliate commission.
